A rolled up newspaper can be an effective pet training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase, "I forgot to watch my dog! I forgot to watch my dog!" (See below) |

Eskies
love children when they are both trained together and early. We insist
that children learn to sit quietly and let puppies play with them, rather
than the children playing with the puppies. If puppies are chased or
picked up or carried around by kids, it tends to scare the puppies ...especially
the little ones....and puppies learn really fast that they better run
from kids or threaten them. Neither of those is a healthy option. Once
the trust is there, they make perfect playmates. |

Ch. Miki Nanuk Charlie's Sport is 12 inches tall. Miki Nanuk means Little Polar Bear in the Eskimo language. Sport is rambunctious, loud, lots of fun, and eager to learn. He'll do anything for a stick! He is a UKC Champion and has four points toward his AKC championship. Ch. Miki Qannik Little Snowflake is 11.5 inches tall. Miki Qannik means Little Snowflake in Eskimo. Miki is brilliant and fun! She is the smartest Eskie we have ever had. She is a UKC Champion and has four points toward her AKC championship. Both have been DNA tested for PRA to certify that their puppies will not have this genetic defect. |

Eskies will win your heart. There is no more loyal and fun dog in the world! They have no doggie odor...they always smell like little powder puffs. We only bathe them about once every three months to get the oils from hands off their coats. When they get dirty, it falls off when they dry. They snuggle up and are the best little bed buddies in the world. If you are active and have the time to train your puppy, it will be your best friend ever and will help introduce you to new friends! If you don't have the time to exercise it and train it, it could be your worst nightmare. (Eskies are the most likely dogs to be sent to "rescue" shelters because their owners didn't know what to expect.) It takes Eskies about 2 years to "grow up." |
Buying a pet store puppy perpetuates the abuse in puppy mills! You need to get your puppy from a loving breeder who pets, gives it plenty of attention, and from the beginning doesn't allow "bites." Our Kids' Wings puppies are in potty training from the time they begin to toddle...we lead them from their sleeping crate to the back yard to do their business. Then we lead them back into the house where they can play on the carpet for about 30 minutes when they tire out and need to go outside once more before taking another long nap...and the process starts over again. When they leave at 8 weeks, they will know where they are supposed to do their business. (Their new owner must then make grass available on a regular basis!) Wherever you get your puppy, please insist on knowing they have been DNA tested to eliminate the possibility that they will be positive to the PRA blindness gene that is a problem in Eskies now. |
