Download and print IN COLORED INK the "Writing on Colored Lines for Organization" paper. (Use these until students feel comfortable with the introduction, idea paragraphs, and concluding paragraph.) Write the first paragraph on the black lines, changing any part of the second sentence to fit a description of yourself. Do not change the first or last sentence. The second paragraph will be about the blue idea in the first paragraph--write on the blue lines. The third paragraph will be about the purple idea in the first paragraph--write on the purple lines. The fourth paragraph will be about the green idea in the first paragraph--write on the green lines. The fifth paragraph will be about the red idea in the first paragraph--write on the red lines.

Complete your writing by copying the last paragraph. Do not change anything.

For the next composition, brainstorm 3 or 4 color ideas and adjust the introduction to fit the idea and include new the color ideas.

The Real Me

I'm just an ordinary kid with extraordinary talents! I watch "Sponge Bob Square Pants," eat pizza, tickle with my little brother, and play video games. However, I'm a wizard at math, I devour scary books, I make people laugh, and I have a secret.
