Hurricane Katrina brought death, devastation, and destruction to Louisana in 2005. Thousands of people were evacuated before the hurricane struck. Some chose to stay in their homes. Rescue workers worked hard to find stranded pets. Many pets were abandoned. A dog named Bobbi and a cat named Bob Cat were abandoned. Bobbi was helpless to save himself because he was chained to his porch. Bob was even more helpless. Together, they lived the Hurricane but afterward, they needed to find food and water. Bobbi managed to pull his chain free, and together they set out on a day-by-day quest to survive. They found help in several places, people willing to give them food, buildings, rescue workers, and later, shelter staff who made a remarkable discovery.

Two Bobbies, A True Story of Hurricane Katrina, Friendship, and Survival is a powerful introduction to Hurricane Katrina, focusing on these two animal friends, their ordeal, and the people who finally found them a home.
