Thirteen-year-old Margaret O'Malley is devastated when the evil Judge Lucas Biggs finds her father guilty of arson and murder and sentences him to death. Margaret is certain that he is innocent but is helpless to prove it. Determined to save him, she resorts to her family's forbidden secret power, the ability to time-travel, in hopes that if she can change the early, hurtful events in the judge's life, she can manipulate the forces that turned him into a cruel and corrupt man. But, can she change the past?

Ignoring her family's strict restrictions, Margaret jumps back into time, meets her friend Josh and tries to transform the events that poisoned Lucas Biggs's character to try to save her father's life.

Will she be able to survive the strict rules of time travel?

Will history allow the two friends to manipulate the events that dictate the future? And even if they can, will it change the deadly verdict that has doomed Margaret's father?

The convoluted tale of time-travel, crime, family desperation, and an evil corporation with no regard for the safety of its employees, transports readers to a time decades earlier where even they face problem-solving challenges.

For classroom connections, Kids Wings Literature Guide and Jeopardy-type interactive game for Saving Lucas Biggs will extend the adventure, hone reading skills, stimulate interaction by having students assume roles of characters, inspire problem-solving, and lay the foundation for positive character development.

In addition, busy teachers love the many pages of authentic multiple-choice, short-answer check-ups as well as connected research, picturing the text and writing prompts connected to real award-winning literature! You can depend on Kids Wings to prepare your students for standardized testing by stimulating, challenging, and stretching their brains instead of lulling them to sleep with boring, mind-numbing drill-and-kill!

Saving Lucas Biggs is a spellbinding story of love providing the push to change the impossible and allow good to once again, triumph over evil.
